What is the difference between the Gentle Zinc Balm and the SOS Balm?
Both balms offer intensive care for delicate or sensitive skin, but each has its own strengths. The Gentle Zinc Balm contains zinc oxide and is especially suited to areas that need extra comfort and protection, such as red, extremely dry or sensitive spots. The SOS Balm is a multi-purpose balm with deeply nourishing ingredients. Ideal for dry, rough or stressed skin, and mild enough to use as a nourishing eye balm.
What is tallow and why is it used in skincare?
Tallow is a natural fat rendered from the fat of grass-fed cattle. It is rich in vitamins and closely resembles the natural oils of our skin, which makes it incredibly nourishing, hydrating and gentle on the skin.
Is tallow suitable for sensitive or acne-prone skin?
Yes. Tallow is non-comedogenic and packed with skin-friendly nutrients, which makes it ideal for sensitive, dry or acne-prone skin. Many customers report less redness, dryness and breakouts after switching to tallow-based skincare.
Does tallow smell like meat or animal fat?
Not at all! The fat we use is slowly rendered, naturally filtered and combined with plant extracts to create a pure and subtle scent. You will not smell anything, only soft, natural aromas.
How long does a product keep and how should I store it?
Our products generally keep for up to 6 months after opening. Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. We use no synthetic preservatives, so we recommend applying with clean hands or a spatula to keep the product fresh.
Where does your tallow come from?
Our tallow comes from 100% Dutch, grass-fed cattle. These cattle graze on local pastures and receive a natural diet without artificial additives. The fat is carefully purified and traditionally rendered to preserve its rich nutrients. This is how we make sure our tallow comes from a sustainable and responsible chain.
